Beginning February 6, we will be participating in Pennies for Patients. Since 1994, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country. The funds, collected during a three-week period, benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The collection will end on February 16, 2012 |

| Our annual pennies collection drive will be kicking off in February. It is one of our monthly school-wide civic responsibility projects that we hope everyone will be able to participate in. Classrooms challenge one another to see who can collect the most coins over a two week period. The top classroom will receive a pizza party. Last year Ms. Correia's class won the pizza party and our school raised over $1,500 that was used to help educate others and find cures for blood cancer. |
