Energy Saving Tips for the Week of October 11, 2011
We have the following energy tips for the Week of October 11.
Use fans instead of air conditioners, a savings of about $73 per month. A ceiling fan on for 8 hours per day uses 24 kWh per month or $7.
Plant native plants, trees, shrubs, or trellises around your home to keep your home cooler.
Shorten showers. Cutting just two minutes per shower could save up to 1,533 kWh and $460 per year.
